First quarter of 2020

Let the new year begin!

After we recovered from the terrifying little drone (thanks for the awesome gift, Mom and Dad), it was time for Cameron's birthday! He wanted to go to the bouncy house place. It's pretty fun!

After Cam's birthday, Claire decided she was done crawling...at 10 months...come on, kid, that's too early. Cut your mom some slack, would ya?!

Since we still had all the food from what was going to be our Thanksgiving, we had a second Thanksgiving feast. It was delicious!

Can you taste the sweet potato casserole?!

Claire's my little snuggle buddy. A few days a week she takes a nap on my lap. I love it.

Rusty surprised Annie with a Portland trip for her birthday. They came to Salem and we went to see Star Wars. Then to DQ for Blizzards!

So yeah, we have an In n' Out now. It's so good, and so dangerous to have close! Our first trip was for my birthday (we went on Saturday the 28th of December). We waited in line for more than 30 minutes, and then it was another 40 minutes after ordering to get the food. It was totally bonkers, but delicious.

For our second trip Maddie took me out for lunch. Well okay, it was at 10:30, because if you want to avoid the lines, that's when you have to go. We each got a neapolitan milkshake.
Can I just say how proud I am of Brooke. She pumped more than 100 ounces of milk to donate to the hospital. These photos are from when we visited Tigard's grand opening of the milk bank.

Yep, that's a milk drop. Weird, yet quite friendly!

All the frozen milk!

Brooke and Claire getting ready to take all the milk to the hospital!
Awkward family photo? Why not!

Courtney was in the roller disco musical Xanadu. Sharlie and I went one night, and Brooke and Maddie went the following week. It was hilarious and really well done!
Claire turned ONE!!! How has a full year already gone by? It just goes too fast. We adore this little sweetheart.

Maybe I will get to raise a fire juggler after all?!

Finally, in March the Corona virus (Covid-19) hit the world. We entered the strangest situation I've ever experienced. The schools have been shut down, missionaries have returned home, I'm telecommuting for six weeks (or longer), and sit down restaurants are outlawed. It's been so strange to spend everyday at home...and I'm not allowed to run due to a runner's knee issue.

While a lot of people are scared, I have loved getting back to a simpler life. We spend more time together as a family. We do more activities. I'm playing the guitar again, and finally catching up on the family blog. And on top of that, I finally got around to cutting this slow motion footage from 2015 (I was learning and practicing with the Sony FS7). Maddie even helped me cut through the footage!
