Happy Christmas!

"Happy Christmas Harry!  Happy Christmas Ron!" Okay, so we didn't have quite enough time to watch Harry Potter this year, but I've found I love saying Happy Christmas instead of Merry Christmas, just like those cute kids at Hogwarts.  So Happy Christmas everyone!

 We had a lot of fun over the holidays, with lots of time spent with family. Check out the video that shows some of our holiday good times. Oh, and just a note, this is my favorite pop Christmas song.  Sing it, Mariah!



My girls all tend to dress extraordinarily cute during the holidays, so I snapped a few pictures to celebrate their cuteness!


One of the great highlights was the arriving of Gentry!  After months of hard studying at the University of Chicago, Gentry flew in for his Christmas vacation.  I picked him up at the airport on a Saturday night, and we immediately drove downtown to catch The Hobbit in 3D (48 frames per second, the only theater in the region showing it in that format).  The Gentry spent a few days hanging out with us, and it was awesome!  Gemma warmed right up to him, though she wasn't quite sure what to think of his beard!

After Christmas, it was time to celebrate my 31st birthday!  It was wicked sweet, and I was happy to receive all sorts of camera accessories, including a sweet viewfinder, monopod, quick release strap, camera backpack, and shoulder rig.  I am now ready to make the raddest home videos known to mankind!  Brooke thinks I'm obsessed, but I just say it's being a good dad!  I mean, come on, our family history is in full HD!

I was able to cross an item off my bucket list recently, as I had the opportunity to juggle on live TV.  I booked 4 shows at Spokane's First Night (the region's biggest New Year's Eve party), and I was asked to do some promotion for First Night by juggling on the morning news.  So I woke up at 4:30 a.m., arrived at the station at 5:45, and performed at 6:15 a.m.  Woah, that's really early.  It went perfectly, though, and I didn't drop!  Check it out:


After New Year's Eve came New Year's Day, and we celebrated 2013 by having my sister Katie, her husband Jon, and their three fun boys over at the house. We played games, at an amazing chip dip (with sausage and cream cheese), and hung out with their cute little baby.

    LOL! That was awesome! I loved seeing and feeling like I was apart of the Jenkins family Christmas! One of my favorite parts was seeing your family pictures up! It always makes me so happy when my clients print them and hang them on the wall!

      Katelyn, we've totally loved the pictures! We've received loads of compliments, and we couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out.

      So when are you going to start shooting some video? A picture is worth a 1,000 words, so 24 pictures per second with sound is pretty much priceless right?! Ha ha! I hope you and your family are well. Congrats on your coming baby!

After waiting for what felt like an eternity, March came along, and I finally was able to release my "Go Ergo!" music video to the world. It was so exciting! A week before we had a big viewing at work where we watched the music video and all the individual segments. Then the video was launched to the public, and we were really surprised to get a great news article, some radio play, and a bunch of Facebook and Twitter interaction. The video currently has 5,900 views, which is awesome for the workers comp industry! Cameron is born!!!

The birth of a child is easily one of life's greatest joys. It always feels to me as if the windows of heaven open and we catch a glimpse of the eternities. With each child I am brought to tears, and they seem to come more frequently (and heartily) with the more children we have. And with that...here is the story of the day our precious Cameron arrived. But let me go back a few days. Brooke's physician had actually scheduled her to be induced on Friday, January 29th. There were no pressing health issues, but rather that was a day that worked well for the physician, and the doctor wanted to go for it! The day looked perfect, as the kids had no school, so all three girls could go to a family's house together for the day. We made our arrangements, and planned on checking into the hospital at 7:00 a.m. We were, however, required to call the hospital beforehand to make sure there was a room available for us. We called at 6:00 a.m., and no rooms were available. Long story short,...

Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend this year.  On Saturday we headed to a local school park and had a sweet picnic, complete with fried chicken, kettle chips, juice boxes, and cookies.  That is a recipe for awesomeness, if I do say so myself! Sharlie loves the swings Then on Monday we all headed to Coeur d'Alene to hike the Tubbs hill nature trail. It's a beautiful hike right along the edge of the lake. The kids absolutely loved it. After the hike we went to a cool new burger place called Scrud's. I ate a big burger and got to write my name on the wall!   After lunch we offered to take the kids to a play park, but they were so satisfied with their hike that they simply asked to go home. How rad is that?!!  Gemma's first hike, at two weeks.  She slept the whole time. Such sweet sisters! Brooke is looking good and feeling great!
