Dad's Retirement Luau!
The day finally came, and Dad has retired. We're all super excited for the future adventures he and Mom will have together. Since they're headed to Hawaii for their mission, the party theme was Luau! Hawaiian haystacks, great decorations, and live music...that didn't happen because the power went out an hour before the party was slated to begin. But being the industrious Mormons we are, everyone dug into their emergency supplies, and we lit the gym up as best we could with flashlights and lanterns. The party ended up being just great. It was well attended, and it felt like a reunion of the old Troy Branch squad. Most of the original gang was there, and we huddled together and reminisced about the good ol' days. It was awesome. The lights ended up coming on shortly after the party had ended and everyone had left, and I was able to finally get some pictures.
