Sharlie's 8th birthday and baptism!

Image
Ah, beautiful spring. While my eyes, nose, and throat are in distress, the sights and sounds of nature coming to life are wondrous to behold. I had a meeting out at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. It was gorgeous! Sharlie knows this birthday is a big one! The kids ALL got emoji pillows (long story). They thought they were pretty cool. Sharlie got a brand new car!!! On Saturday, April 16, we had Sharlie's baptism. I baptized her, and uncle Joey confirmed her. The meeting was beautiful, with wonderful talks by Dad and Brooke's mom, and a sweet musical number by the Schatz girls. And at the end of the meeting we blessed Cameron. Right before we began the prayer, Cameron let a big toot. Apparently he wanted to let us know he was just one of the guys! We were so happy to be surrounded by family! Every year for April Fool's, my work does funny internal news stories. One of the stories this year was about how SAIF's parking garage is "haunted." Obviously I needed to do ghost photography, and Sharlie made for a really spooky ghost. Muahahaha!!! Cooper loves Cameron. What handsome boys. Sharlie with the ant she made at school. Unfortunately it died when left in the hands of Gemma. Cameron and I watched the Zags lose in the tournament. It was so sad. And finally, I got to release my farm shop safety video! Watch for my cameo in the "Hand grinders" segment, and watch for Gemma in the "Supporting the work" segment.

Spring (and Winter) updates

Let's just look at the pictures and read the captions, yes? Brooke held a Christmas piano recital for her students at the Salem Public Library auditorium. Classy ladies! Um...maybe not. Here are their performances: Christmas happened, and for Gemma that meant thousands of BUBBLES!!! I celebrated my 34th birthday by squeezing into Superman pajamas from Mom and Dad. Yup...just a bit snug! ;) Most of our evening time was spent snuggling with little Cameron. I quickly discovered that his favorite activity is staring at lights. We did it a lot. Gemma has warmed up to Cameron. I think she understands she's not being replaced! Most of the time this little boy is all sweetness and smiles. And other times he's more ...
