Aargh!!!
In September I had the opportunity to do a super unique gig. A local author hired me to be the singing pirate at her book release parties in Portland and Salem. The book is called "Hooks Revenge: The Pirate Code," and it's published by Disney. You can see the book here ! One of my co-workers is highly experienced in the field of costume design, and she volunteered to make a pirate outfit for me. I purchased boots, a wig, and sword, and she made me a beautiful waistcoat and outer coat. They were made from old curtains purchased at the local Goodwill. Brooke did an awesome job on my eye makeup, and I had a blast doing the shows. Here are the photos/video from the parties: Avast! Gotta reach for the sky to hit them thar high notes!
