Shows galore!

July was a crazy busy month for Jenks, with lots of events. I played 17 shows, which is the most I have ever done in a month. I played the Fourth of July in Endicott, Washington, all of the libraries in the Spokane County Library District, the Salem Art Fair in Oregon, cub camp, and Brooke's family reunion. I made lots of new friends, and it was a total blast! Here are a few of the highlights: Getting the party started in North Spokane. Teaching the kids how to do a dinosaur impression. Playing our old home library, Spokane Valley. Old awesome friend, Terry and Patrice (and their niece Lorene), just happened to be in town that week (they moved to Western Washington shortly before we moved to Oregon). They surprised me at the show, and it was so exciting! We love these guys! My sweet fan Vincent brought his kazoo to the show, like a boss! Otis Orchards! Four club juggling at Otis Orchards. The ceilings were pretty low, which meant...knee juggling! ...

Everything's okay...cuz' I'm on vacation!

July is typically party time for our family, and we really partied it up this year. We spent the Fourth of July in Troy and Moscow, and I was the pre-firework entertainment in Endicott, Washington (which has an amazing fireworks display). We got to hang out with the parents, Joey and Lauren, and Annie and Rusty. Annie and Rusty got this awesome pool, and the kids loved it. The setting is also gorgeous! Touchdown Seahawks! Wait, what are we doing? Even though this inflatable whale totally belonged to Emmie, Gemma claimed it for her own. She'll be a great moocher when she hits 8th grade (you know I was). Look at that view! The Schatz family got two sweet little kittens (they're sweet for now, but once they're fully grown I am convinced they will try to kill us all). The kitty cats got lots of snuggle time. Yep, mom is becoming a cat lady! Rubbing the kitty's tummy. Classic dad, taking a nap/ Jenny and her mom came over ...
