Jenks - One Rockin' Family!

On Martin Luther King, Jr. day we wanted to do something special as a family. Madeline and Sharlie wanted to enter a school competition which was all about anti-bullying. You could submit a poster or a video. Obviously we chose to make a video. It stars Maddie and Sharlie, and it really teaches some good tips on how to deal with bullying (we did our research). Well guess what...they won the competition! Their prize is that each of them got to pick a friend with whom they got a pizza party at school. The kids were beyond stoked!

While most January's consist of feeling guilty for all the December junk food we ate, and coming up with an infallible plan to annihilate said sweets, this January was different. It seems that all we've been eating is horrible-for-the-body-but-delicious-for-the-soul food! Brooke knocked it out of the park with her homemade Crunchwrap Supremes. Check it out: In early January we received a fun visit from Kevin and Aubrey Brinkerhoff. We relaxed at our place, and then we all headed downtown to Riverfront park (yep, they have one here in Salem, just like Spokane) so we could ride the carousel. Kevin also showed us that he can back flip like a boss. We filmed in super slow motion! Carousel time. Little Grace Brinkerhoff was digging it! Also in  January I had a video shoot in Medford, OR.
