Hello Salem!

So our move from Spokane to Salem was quite eventful. Our home wasn't ready for us to move in at the beginning of March, so for my first two weeks of work I stayed with Mike & Heather Ellingson. Heather is Brooke's cousin, and they live in a super cute town called Silverton, which is about 15 miles from Salem. They gave me my own room in the basement, which was awesome! Apparently I made it my own, because after I left Mike & Heather's kids said it smelled "like Corey." Not sure if that was positive or not, but what can I do? It's my natural musk! On March 15th I flew from Portland to Spokane, and we finished loading the moving truck and cleaning the house. We ended up driving just to the Tri-Cities that evening and staying with Brooke's aunt Crystal. Then the next day we finished the trip to Oregon. Sharlie & Maddie took turns riding in the truck. Sayonara Spokane!

After seven amazing years, the time finally came to say good-bye to Spokane. We totally loved living in Spokane Valley. I had my first full-time video production job, and traveled the world shooting videos. Sharlie and Gemma were born at the Valley Hospital. I began Jenks, recorded three albums (two with Annie), and played loads of shows in the area. We lived in a super cute house with a yard that was really big (not gonna' miss mowing the lawn)! Most of all, though, we made great friendships that will last a lifetime. While it was hard to leave a place we loved so much, our pioneer spirit called us further west! I was hired by SAIF Corporation in Salem, Oregon, as the Video Communications Coordinator. It was an amazing opportunity, and we jumped at the chance to continue our family adventures in Oregon.
