A Really Good Shew!

No, my spelling of the word "shew" is not a mistake. But it WOULD be a mistake to read this blog heading without saying it aloud in your best Ed Sullivan voice. Ah, how I would have loved to perform on his variety show!  I'm afraid I was born a few decades too late. We had a totally awesome show in Republic, Washington today for a gold mine. This is the third year I've done all the entertainment for their big annual company party. It is one of my favorite shows each year. The people there are amazing, and they invite Brooke and the girls to come and join in the festivities. Add to that all-you-can-eat ice cream bars, delicious catered barbecue, lots of treats and toys for the kids, and some pretty good entertainment (insert me winking here), and you've got...a really good shew! The Story of the Birds!

Once upon a time there were two robins.  These robins decided to start a family, and they built their nest on the Jenkins' security light. A few weeks later, four baby birds were hatched. They were super ugly, yet somehow adorable. Then one day one of the baby birds got very hungry, so he screamed “MOOOOMMMMMMM!!!” So the momma bird flew home to the nest to feed her babies. Then she threw up in their mouths, and it was gross.  The End. Aside from our backyard bird adventure, we invited Mom and Gentry up for a weekend of relaxation, movies, and Gemma bonding time!
