Jenks - One Rockin' Family!

November was a fun month for the family. We celebrated Brooke's birthday. We watched Gemma eat her first cereal, and we had Brooke's parents in town for a fun-filled weekend.   Brooke's birthday was lots of fun.  We went on an awesome date to Red Robin, and we enjoyed their amazing onion rings!  Then we had a little family party, and Maddie made a sweet card:  Maddie's amazing portrait of Brooke.  This is probably after a botox procedure! Another fun thing in November was the Adams Elementary dinner at McDonald's.  Instead of doing of some of the traditional school fundraisers, like selling overpriced chocolate, our elementary school is quite innovative.  One of the PTA fundraisers was dinner at McDonald's.  A whole bunch of the Adams staff and teachers "worked" at the restaurant for the evening.  Maddie's teacher, Mrs. Pierce, was one of the greeters.  I have never seen a restaurant so packed before.  The kids just...

I finally had time to shoot my new juggling promo video, and it's super rad!  The light balls are killer, and you can totally juggle them in the pitch dark!  I also got some great new footage of the fire devil sticks, torches, and fire breathing.  

Alright, so we had a pretty fun October.  We got really into the Halloween spirit this year and ending up doing a lot of cool Halloween stuff.  This included a super rad party at Terry LaFrance's house in Spokane.  Terry and his wife, Patrice have come to lots of Jenks shows over the past few years, and we've become great friends with them.  So this year I told Terry I wanted to give him a free Jenks show, and come and entertain at his annual Halloween party!  Terry throws a mean party, and the center of the event is his amazing haunted house.  He's been putting this thing together every year for a long time, and the haunted house is full of spooky things he has created.  He builds and programs skulls to talk.  He even programmed one with a special message just for the Jenks family!   Our neighborhood is well-known for Halloween decorations, and our neighbor Steve really outdid himself this year with an incredible sunken ghost ship.  It...

So the kids recently went to the dentist, and they're awesome dentist gives them sweet prizes for coming in (how come this didn't exist when I was a kid?) Sharlie got a popper as her prize.  You know what this is, it looks like a rubber ball cut in half.  You turn it inside out, set it on a surface, and watch it pop into the sky! Maddie & Sharlie wanted to see how the popper worked if you popped it on a person!  And who was brave enough to live out this adventure?  Well dad, of course!  So we filmed it for your enjoyment.  Check it out:    Another exciting highlight in October was family pictures!  For the first time ever we had our family pictures taken, and we just love them!  Our good friend Katelyn Foutch took them on a cool Saturday evening at the University of Idaho arboretum.  Since Sharlie is going through a shy stage, we had to bribe her to smile for the pictures.  I did this by promising her all the ic...

We had a great end of summer, and tried to squeeze in as much fun stuff as possible before the kids jumped into the school year.  Carl's Jr. made this quite easy, as they had their giant Oreo ice cream sandwiches on sale! Giant Oreo's and hand-scooped ice cream?  Brooke is in love! One Saturday in August I took Madeline and Sharlie out for an all day Daddy-Daughters date.  We went to Riverfront Park and hit the rides, drank slushees, took a spin on the carousel, fed the Garbage Eating Goat, and played miniature golf!  But why are you reading this?  You should just watch the video and see the radness...
